HELLIX PARTICIPATES IN SUCCESSFUL OIL WELL

HELLIX VENTURES INC. Hellix is pleased to announce that, pursuant to the press release of October 4, 2005, the Star Valley Area (Saskatchewan) well was successfully drilled with two horizontal laterals for a total of 626 metres and encountered 90% of the reservoir rock in the formation. The well is anticipated to produce at an initial rate of 200 barrels of fluid per day with low to moderate water cut. The operator is NAL Resources Limited of Calgary Alberta.

Hellix continues to pursue other drilling opportunities in oil and gas, as well as continuing to advance the La Dura gold and silver property in Durango, Mexico.
