HELLIX CONTRACTOR ON SITE AT LA LUZ TUNNEL

HELLIX VENTURES INC. - HEL:TSX.V/HLLXF:OTC - Vancouver, BC- Frank Underhill, President of Hellix Ventures Inc. reports following a recent property visit “After numerous delays involving sourcing of equipment and personnel, our recently contracted professional team is set to begin work on the Las Minitas property.”

Hellix has contracted a Chihuahua company, represented by Ing. Carlos Mario Torres Modesto and Ing. Marvin Madrigal Molina. The contractor is now on the property in preparation for the work program.

The contract includes the expansion, in height and width, of 300 metres of access tunnel at the Las Minitas project in the Tayoltita area, Durango state, Mexico. This expansion is necessary to permit the entry of underground drilling equipment.

As part of the contract, the main La Luz tunnel will be extended by 25 metres. In addition, two 25 metre crosscuts will be excavated, both with drill stations.

The underground work is a prelude to approximately 1,200 metres of underground NQ diamond core drilling. The drill program is designed to test the known Minitas structures which were previously exploited during the Spanish colonial era, but which have never been explored below the level of La Luz tunnel.

Approximately 40 days of underground work is anticipated, however, drilling could commence upon completion of the first crosscut and drill station in about 20 to 25 days.

Hellix has no debt (other than short-term trade payables), and has positive cash flow from fossil fuel production in Western Canada.
